The Audio IC lies along a fault line on the motherboard where there isnt enough structural support. So when the motherboard bends or flexes or is jarred when dropped it causes broken traces under the audio IC similarly to what happens to the touch IC on the iPhone 6 plus.I have attached an image of the iPhone 7 motherboard after the audio IC
The classical hero is that kind of problem is generally Tristar IC known as U2 :610A3B Our hero is buttom side of the iphone 7 logic board (below NAND Memory). But there is a little problem with that, it's some part under the metal cover, remove the metal cover carefully and remove the Tristar Ic, after changing problem solved!

iPhone 7 audio IC repair I have an iPhone 7 with classic audio ic problem. Speaker greyed out, took ages to start. As usual I removed the big audio ic, did 4 jumpers, reballed the ic and put it back. The speaker worked fine after audio ic repair.
