26,000 miles on my 1290 SA-T so far but I’ve heard of a 1290 with around 90,000 and handful of 1190s with more than that. If you asked the same Q on a BMW forum there would be loads of people with 100,000+ but there seem to be far more ultra-low mileage KTMs than ultra-high mileage. BMW been around a long long time.
The 1090 only feels top heavy when you are pushing it around. Once rolling the 1090 drops a lot of weight. I haven't looked this up, but the 1090/1190 feels like the steering is much quicker than the 950/990 ADV's. It feels similar to the changes KTM did between the older slow handling 530 EXC and the 2012 500 EXC. Assuming the 1290 is similar to my 790, Rally mode let’s you choose the throttle setting. “Rally“ throttle is fun on the street, but very aggressive off-road.
